Alia Faith Williams (LiveArtDC Director & Dramaturg) is a DC area native who has worked in many facets of theatre throughout the region. She wrote, produced and directed two shows ("Promenading with Lunatics" & "Making (up) History: Searching for Annie Moore") for the Capital Fringe Festival and directed two other Fringe shows. She also wrote a segment of the collaborative 2010 Fringe piece "Belle Parricide". Alia wrote and performed a one woman show based on Ibsen's "A Doll's House" that toured with The Senior's Theatre. She was co-director of the "Wings! Company" at Imagination Stage and served as producer of the Imagination Stage educational theatre productions. She has worked as an actress with many local theatres including: Shakespeare Theater Company, Round House Theatre, Imagination Stage, Rorschach Theatre, Keegan Theater and Journeymen Theatre. Alia holds a BFA in Theatre Arts from Hofstra University, NY.
