LiveArt in a Day 2016

LiveArtDC is thrilled to bring you our third annual 24 Hour Playmaking Fundraiser Event, LiveArt in a Day!

The Way it Works:

On Friday, March 11, at 6pm, the 5 playwrights will each be randomly assigned the following elements:

  • One director
  • Four actors
  • A prop
  • A DC landmark
And thus begins the festival! Playwrights have until Saturday morning to turn around a script, which is then given to their director and actors. Those teams then have roughly 9 hours to take the play from “words on a page” to “live performance.” At 7pm that night, the shows hit the stage for you, our audience!
